Parents & Teachers are also needed!

Students enrolled in this workshop will learn about environmental issues, problem-solving and service learning as well as basic guidelines for writing a winning grant proposal while participating in writing a real-life service learning grant application. Skills and information learned can be applied to scholarship applications as well as other grant proposals.

Students will work on a grant proposal related to service-learning and the environment. Students do not need to be interested in these topics in order to help write the grant, but it helps!

BOY SCOUTS who need to complete an EAGLE PROJECT within the next 12 months should consider helping with this grant since the funding for your project can come from the grant funds. We already have two scouts doing their Eagle project as part of this year's grant. We also still have projects that need to be completed with the current funds. Please contact EE if you are looking for an Eagle project!

  • Motivated students ages 9-up may attend free of charge, but will be excused immediately if there are discipline issues. Parent atendance is not required, but parents are GREATLY NEEDED to help with supervision and small-group leadership. Parents are encouraged to stay at least one day and get involved with the grant project. If student management becomes an issue due to lack of adult help, we may have to limit student participation.
